OK, I got bored with doing this blog separately from my other blogs. So I'm still posting recipes, but they're on the Random Oasis blog, not here.

Spark's Chili

So I just finished making this one for tonight. It's very yummy.

1 lb ground beef
1 onion chopped
1/2 green bell pepper
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped/smashed/pulverized
2 small cans or 1 large can of diced or chopped tomatoes
2 cans of chili beans
4 Tbs sugar
3 Tbs chili powder in 2 Tbs warm water
1 small can tomato paste
1 bay leaf

Put chopped veggies in a pot and start to sautee over med-high heat with just a small pinch of salt. When they just start to get going, add the beef. Don't worry about breaking it up as you can do that with a spoon or spatula. Mix and cook. Break the meat up well as it cooks so there are no large chunks. When the meat is cooked, add all the other ingedients (tomatoes, tomoto paste, chili beans, chili powder in water, sugar, bay leaf). Mix thoroughly, and let simmer for at least an hour and then serve with plenty of cheddar chese.

Freezes really well.
